Sharing Table

Sharing Table is a food-based facilitation practice designed to support human connection and collective learning.

Food for me has never been only about the way it tastes or looks, but always about the story it tells and the connection it creates.

Sharing Table grew out of a simple observation: people need spaces to slow down, learn from one another, and reflect together through shared food. Each table is structured around a philosophical or psychological theme. Food and guided questions are designed together to support dialogue and self-inquiry in a collective setting. Food plays an active role in this process. Dishes are composed to embody ideas and create sensory reference points that support reflection. Combined with facilitation, this creates conditions for attentive listening, thoughtful exchange, and presence around the table. Sharing Table informs my broader work in facilitation and food-based learning & connection formats.

“Every passing Sharing Table is better and better. I have opened up a lot and feel more comfortable sharing my feelings and being true to myself.” - Smita

WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID:

“It was a very nice evening on which i could gain lots of new insights and perspectives. Also i took away questions for myself I did not even think about yet. You have lots to gain and nothing to lose by participating. Also the food was amazing and Selcen created a safe environment for everyone. Also there is room for not only having deep conversations but also fun with getting to know new people. I am happy that I was part of the second sharing table event. I totally can recommend.”

- Laura

"I wanted to join one of the sharing tables when I first saw this event. Finally, I had the opportunity to join one of them. And, by chance, the topic was like it was designed for me. It was not an easy one but I gained a lot in this conversations. It was one of the best experiences for me. I realized a lot of things in my soul. I would like to attend more events like this. If it was a series with 3 - 4 shared tables like an ensemble, I would join it.” - Begum

“Selcen's food can mend your soul. Ok, maybe Selcen's food plus her thoughtful questions and the company of 6 other strangers opening their hearts at night in the coziest place in town! You will definitely leave Selcen's table with many new perspectives and perhaps a few answers to your own personal inquiries and intrigues, aside from a satisfied and more than happy tummy!! Thank you so much for sharing your safe nest with the rest of us who seek care and connection with ones in the surroundings.” - Alma

Current tables are hosted at Nourished Collective in Berlin.
